National Children’s Week

An annual event, celebrated around the fourth Wednesday in October (to coincide with International Children’s Day). This week is a time for children to demonstrate their skills, talents and abilities and celebrate their right to enjoy childhood. In 1996 a permanent theme was adopted: ‘A Caring World Shares’. This is Australia’s largest child safety awareness and education day, organised by the Daniel Morcombe Foundation. The Foundation is committed to the development and education of respectful relationships for children and teenagers in schools and the community.
